We are proud to introduce Inspire’s “Teacher of The Year” finalist, Jodie Kurley. Jodie teaches kindergarten in the Neshaminy School District, where she has been teaching for 10 years.
Jodie has a Master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction Technology Education and is continuing her education through the University of Pennsylvania. With her Penn Literacy courses, Jodie hopes to further enhance her teaching strategies, incorporating new ideas to the classroom.
Outside the classroom, Jodie enjoys watching football, reading a good (James Patterson) book, trips to the beach and spending special moments with her family.
We asked Jodie her favorite thing about teaching and she was quick to answer. With Jodie having the opportunity to work with children from the start, she inspires to help her kids LOVE school right from the start. She adds, “seeing their growth throughout the year, especially in kindergarten, is such a rewarding experience.”
Congratulations to Jodie Kurley and all 10 of the 2017 Teacher of the Year finalists. Over the coming weeks, we will be spotlighting each of our ten finalists for “Teacher of the Year” on our blog and on our Facebook page.
